I have been to this cafe a few times, and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. Food is always good quality.
They also catered for an event at our home, and I cannot recommend them enough. The platter was delicious and so well presented. All food was of a high quality.
The manager and staff were very pleasant and easy to deal with. Will definitely use this business again.

Very good sandwiches but there isn't much else on the menu, prices are ok. Parking is terrible and other guests treat and have 0 consideration towards each other. The actual staff tho is very nice. Cakes look great.
Excellent little restaurant come diner. Top class service, food was fab and really well priced. Lots of seating up stairs and on the ground floor. If your in Athlone, pop in.
The best lunch I’ve had in a long time. The Philly bagel was 10/10, really fresh ingredients, delicious! Great coffee and desserts too. A great spot and really friendly staff.
“Inflation Hits the Menu… Selectively ☕”
Popped in because it’s a handy 5-minute walk — perfect for a slow Saturday coffee moment. The vibe? Relaxed and pleasant. The cappuccino? Perfectly average. Not offensive… just not €4.20 impressive.
Here’s the plot twist:
Menu says €3.80.
Board says €4.20.
Till says €4.20.
When I asked, I was told, “Oh, that’s the old price. We need to reprint the menu.”
Fair enough — but maybe reprint it before charging the new price? 🤔
It’s not about the €0.40. It’s about the principle. Transparency tastes better than confusion — and right now, the coffee next door at Centra (Frank and Honest) is both clearer and better value.
Nice spot for vibes.
